About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Vascular Surgery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10 Hour Days Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Vascular Surgery License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Experience with peripheral artery bypass, AAA repair, carotid endarterectomies, fistula creation, amputations, and endovascular surgery (EVAR, TCAR, TAG) is required. Experience with sedation is preferred. Knowledge of open vascular and endovascular procedures is required. Experience covering thoracic procedures is helpful. Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Vascular Surgery. The role requires the RN to circulate and sedate. Previous experience in vascular surgery or general surgery is preferred. Call is required, including one night of call per week and one weekend of call per month. The expected number of cases per day is 14-16. Candidates must have experience in Cardiac, Thoracic, or Vascular surgery. Floating within other services may be required. Mandatory call includes a response time of 30 minutes. Candidates must provide a copy of their diploma during onboarding for a POC license. Experience in cardiac surgery cases such as CABG, valve repair/replacement, ECMO, and transplant is also beneficial. Knowledge of thoracic surgery procedures, including robotic, endoscopic, and open procedures, is a plus. The candidate should also be familiar with vascular surgery cases including diagnostic angiography, surgical endarterectomy, and dialysis access management.
