We are seeking a dedicated Hospitalist Medicine Physician for a locum tenens position near Missouri City, Texas. This opportunity is perfect for a board-certified or board-eligible physician looking to work in a new and dynamic program. The role involves working closely with a team of healthcare professionals in a hospital setting to deliver high-quality patient care.

• Location: Near Missouri City, Texas
• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: Ongoing
• Schedule:
  • 7 days on, 7 days off rotation
  • Day shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (5 physicians, 2 APPs)
  • Swing shift: 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM (1 physician)
  • Night shifts: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (1 physician, 1 APP Nocturnist)
  • No on-call duties for locum tenens providers

• Patient Care: Provide comprehensive care to hospitalized patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and management of a variety of medical conditions.
• Team Collaboration: Work alongside a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Documentation: Utilize the hospital's EMR system for patient documentation and communication with the healthcare team.
• Orientation and Training: Participate in a one-day orientation, including shadow shifts to familiarize with the facilitys protocols and EMR system.

• Board Certification: Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine (IM) or Family Medicine (FM).
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in hospitalist medicine or a similar setting.
• Licensure: Must have an active medical license in Texas or be eligible to obtain one.
• Credentialing: Emergency privileges available; case logs required for credentialing.

• Facility Details:

  • Consults: Level 2 Trauma Center
  • Patient Population: Mixed rural/urban
  • Acuity: All types of cases, including trauma
