Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) services in Springfield, Massachusetts. This position involves providing specialized care to critically ill patients within a Medical Intensive Care and Neuro Critical Care units. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.
Job Details:

- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shift hours, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Float: Float rotation may be required
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, NIHSS certification, BLS certification, ACLS certification (All through the American Heart Association), 0 years of minimum experience, and candidates must have a minimum of 1 year experience in a Level 1 ICU; 2 years preferred, with experience in MICU setting preferred.
- Additional Information: The unit is a 32-bed Medical ICU licensed for Neuro Critical Care patients, split across two floors with generally favorable staffing. Expected patient ratios are 1:2 or 1:1 if patient acuity requires. Cases seen include Sepsis, End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) and Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) requiring Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) or Continuous Venovenous Hemofiltration (CVVH), post-cardiac arrest care, and respiratory failure.
