Job Summary: We are seeking experienced Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners who have urgent care or emergency room experience, treating both adult and pediatric patients, to join our welcoming and diverse communities of Portland and Vancouver providers. Urgent care Advanced Practitioners provide a wide variety of clinical services including treatment of acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains and minor infections. Functioning in lieu of or alongside a physician, it is essential for an urgent care Advanced Practitioner to have excellent assessment skills in order to recognize more serious conditions and direct the patient to the emergency room for advanced care when necessary. Key Responsibilities: Treat both pediatric and adult patient populations (all ages, 6 months old and up) Perform minor procedures (sutures, casts, splints, etc.), and provide preliminary reads of EKGs and X-rays Make diagnoses and prescribe treatments/medications Collaborative work environment with the opportunity to work with a dedicated Scribe at our busier centers Work in state-of-the-art centers equipped with advanced technology, including an integrated EPIC EMR Collaborate with on-site Rad Techs, Medical Assistants and Paramedics for support Benefits and Perks: Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package as an employee of Legacy Health (such as relocation benefits, ample time off options and yearly CME allowance for eligible full-time and part-time, benefit-eligible roles). Minimum Qualifications: Minimum 1 year of full-time experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting as an NP or PA Experience treating both pediatric and adult patient populations (all ages) Comfortable with minor procedures (sutures, casts, splints, etc.) and preliminary reads on EKGs and X-rays Physician Assistants: Master’s degree and NCCPA Certification Nurse Practitioners: Master’s degree and appropriate certification (AANC or AANP) Apply Now and Propel Your Career Forward!
