We are seeking a dedicated Safety Technician to ensure a safe work environment by conducting orientations, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and safety meetings. The role involves managing safety protocols for both internal and subcontractor teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety orientations and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).

• Lead safety meetings and discussions.

• Oversee safety protocols for internal and subcontractor teams.

• Implement and monitor health and safety standards on-site.

• Manage safety training and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in solar construction safety practices.

• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and standards.

• Experience in safety management and training.

• Minimum of 3 years of solar safety experience.

• OSHA 30 certification.

• Valid driver's license.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Expertise in health and safety management.

• Experience in environmental health and safety (EHS).

• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Work Environment

Work outdoors at a solar project in Republic, MI, on a new construction site. The role includes working three shifts a week, totaling 30 hours. The day starts at 7 AM with safety talks, followed by work. The environment includes regular breaks and requires appropriate outdoor clothing.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Marquette, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
