Behavioral Intervention SpecialistProvide campus-wide push-in prevention and intervention support for general education students with frequent or severe behavioral needs. Strengthen teacher capacity by improving classroom behavior systems and instructional practices. Prioritize keeping students in the classroom, using short-term removal only for safety concerns or intense dysregulation. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.QualificationsBachelor's degree in education from an accredited college or universityOne of the following required:Valid Texas Teacher CertificationLicensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP)Valid Texas School Counselor CertificationLicensed Professional Counselor (LPC)Strong collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skillsSolution-oriented problem solvingKnowledge of instructional strategies and evidence-based behavior practicesAbility to collect, analyze, and use data to inform decisionsExperience supporting resistant learners and students with behavioral challengesStrong organization, prioritization, and time management skillsMinimum of three (3) years of classroom teaching experience (preferred)Experience developing and implementing individualized behavior and/or safety plans in an educational setting (preferred)Major Responsibilities and DutiesProvide push-in support to strengthen Tier I behavior systems, student engagement, and model effective classroom management practicesConduct data-driven coaching cycles focused on classroom management and Tier I behavior supportsBuild teacher capacity to sustain effective practices independently including coteaching in classroomsCollaborate with teachers, counselors, administrators, parents, and district staff to develop and implement behavior intervention plans and safety plansUse short-term removal only for significant safety concerns or intense dysregulation, prioritizing quick reintegration into the classroomDeliver small-group behavior skills instruction to targeted students.Work with campus and district staff to develop, implement, and monitor behavior and safety plansProvide ongoing campus professional learning on Tier I classroom systems and Tier II behavior supportsLead the campus Tier I Behavior Team and facilitate monthly meetings.Serve on the Tier II Behavior Team, using data to identify students, develop interventions, and monitor progress using dataParticipate in staffings, conferences, and SST meetings for behavior-related cases.Partner with district staff and outside agencies to address and support student behavioral, psychological, and social emotional needsSupport campus crisis teams as neededExhibit CCISD Core Values of trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship.Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.Stay up-to-date professionally through the selection of quality professional learning opportunities for personal growth.Research district policy, precedent, and current practices prior to taking action.Participate as an effective team member who contributes to district, department, and content goals.Demonstrates proficient levels of technology applications.Participates fully in drills and safety exercises to provide for the safety and overall emotional wellbeing of students.Utilize time wisely for effective management of job responsibilities.Maintain punctuality in daily work times, appointments, and meetings.Meet task completion deadlines established by supervisor.Maintain friendly customer-service-driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co-workers.Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school/department are met.Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal).Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.Working ConditionsEffective verbal and written communication; concentration while performing duties; ability to maintain emotional control under stress; ability to work with frequent interruptionsFrequent standing, stooping, bending, lifting, moving textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom materialsTerms: 10 months or as assigned
