BarbackWe are seeking a hardworking, organized, and service-oriented Barback to support our bartending and beverage teams in delivering an exceptional experience for our guests. The Barback plays a critical role in maintaining an efficient, clean, and fully stocked bar throughout service.The ideal candidate is highly motivated, attentive to detail, able to anticipate the needs of the bar team, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong teamwork, physical stamina, a positive attitude, and a commitment to maintaining Norte's standards of hospitality and excellence. If you have a passion for hospitality and enjoy working as part of a fast-paced, customer-focused team, we would love to hear from you!Key ResponsibilitiesSupport bartenders throughout service by anticipating and responding to their needsMaintain fully stocked bar stations with spirits, wine, beer, mixers, garnishes, glassware, ice, and other necessary suppliesPrepare and replenish garnishes, juices, syrups, and other bar ingredients as directedMaintain adequate ice levels throughout service and replenish ice as neededRestock beer, wine, spirits, mixers, and other beverage products throughout the shiftRetrieve and organize bottles, supplies, and equipment from storage areasAssist with opening and closing duties, including bar setup, breakdown, cleaning, and restockingMaintain a clean, organized, and sanitary bar, back bar, service areas, and storage spacesCollect, wash, polish, and organize glassware and bar equipment as neededRemove empty bottles, trash, and other waste promptly and appropriatelyAssist with receiving, organizing, rotating, and storing beverage deliveriesMonitor inventory levels and communicate low-stock items or shortages to managementMaintain proper organization of beverage storage areas and ensure products are stored appropriatelySupport bartenders and the beverage team during high-volume service to ensure efficient and seamless operationsAssist with maintaining proper sanitation and food-safety standards throughout the bar areaFollow all restaurant policies, procedures, and standards of serviceComply with all applicable local and state health, safety, and alcohol service regulationsCommunicate effectively with bartenders, servers, managers, and other team membersDemonstrate professionalism, urgency, and a positive attitude throughout each shiftPerform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by managementQualificationsPrevious restaurant, barback, beverage, or hospitality experience preferredPrevious high-volume or fine dining experienceBasic knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, cocktails, and bar operationsStrong understanding of restaurant etiquette and hospitality standardsKnowledge of health and safety regulations, including proper sanitation and allergy protocolsStrong organizational and time-management skillsExceptional teamwork and communication skillsAbility to anticipate the needs of the bar team and work proactivelyAbility to work efficiently and maintain composure in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail and commitment to cleanlinessPositive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the organizationAvailability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidaysPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periods of timeAbility to frequently bend, reach, lift, carry, and move throughout the restaurantAbility to move and lift items up to 50 lbs as neededAbility to safely transport cases of beverages, ice, glassware, and other bar suppliesAbility to work in a fast-paced environment for extended periods of timeCompensation DetailsCompensation: $17.00 per hour, plus tips, Tip Credit Laws applicableSchedule: Full-time and part-time positions availableBenefits & Perks: Paid Sick Leave, Employee DiscountsAdditional InformationThis job description is intended to outline the general nature and responsibilities of the role.
