Receptionist- Patient Support Services- Full Time/36 hrs./week - Rotating Shift

Eligible for Full-Time Benefits

This position requires a rotating schedule with shifts scheduled between 4:40 am - 8:00 pm. Monday-Friday. Every other weekend and rotating holidays will be required

8-hours shifts. Shifts will be scheduled based on department needs. 

Flexibility in work schedule to provide coverage for absent employees

General Summary: Performs receptionist functions for assigned areas.

Responsibilities:

• Receives, screens, routes and responds to incoming telephone calls.

• Takes accurate messages and ensures timely delivery.

• Greets guests and provides appropriate assistance and information.

• Performs additional clerical duties as assigned.

• The receptionists assist with transporting outpatients, calling departments to check in outpatients, calling departments for appointment check in (interviews / meetings. Information desk coverage is important to maintaining exceptional customer experience with helping with campus navigation.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• High School diploma equivalency
• 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. *Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Minimum 3 years of customer service experience
• Minimum 6 months of hospital or physician office experience
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
• Strong flexibility and adaptability to changing departmental needs
• Willingness to provide coverage for absent team members when needed
• Excellent communication, professionalism, and patient service skills
