Housekeeping Supervisor of Inventory Control

ROLE Supervise the functions of the housekeeping department including quality assurance inspections in a defined Area of Responsibility. Maintain cleanliness threshold for Area of Responsibility. Responsible for accurately tracking inventory of materials and assets and research discrepancies in inventories. Maintains records of materials in inventory. Monitors reorder points and initiates action to replenish stock. Provides effective and efficient management of all Inventory operations as assigned by the housekeeping management. RESPONSIBILITIES
$20.00 per hour
- Receives shipments, checks for damages, sorts, and tags inventory for distribution to correct location(s)
- Stock incoming products accurately and timely manner
- Monitors PAR levels, maintains safety inventory levels, and provide notification and recommendations to housekeeping management
- Enters/submit purchase requisition requests to replenish inventory (stock).
- Performs requisition updates after deliveries are completed.
- Tracks orders and investigates problems.
- Assists in physical count of inventory and reconciles actual stock count to computer-generated reports
- Conduct Daily/Weekly/Monthly Inventory
- Enter physical inventory information into a weekly inventory report
- Effectively managing, storing, labeling of inventory and organization of warehouse and tower storage closets.
- Maintains adequate inventory levels by checking and restocking locker rooms and supply closets
- Replace housewares inventory and supplies as needed in rooms
- Assist guest with direction and general information
- Protects company's assets and minimizes loss according to company's standards and operating procedures, inventory control and loss prevention. Report lost and found to Housekeeping Management
- Ensure prompt and discrete notification to management of any observation of illegal acts and/or internal ethics violations
- Attend all training sessions and make practical application of training
- Perform other job duties as assigned
- Experience using automated procurement and or inventory management program preferred
- Required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check

- Follow all Safety and Security procedures to protect and ensure the safety of our guests, employees and assets.
- Maintain a flexible work schedule based on business needs of the Resort.
- Maintain proper inventory and security of housekeeping supplies.
- Oversee workers comp. injuries by appropriately documenting accidents and incidents; partnering with Security, HR and Housekeeping Leadership.
- Set-up employees for success during pre-shift meetings by collecting assignment sheets, assigning tablets and radios.
- Inspect check-out and available units in Area of Responsibility.
- Track assigned housekeepers progress throughout the day; partner with Status Board to provide updates of associates who are not meeting the credit per hour threshold.
- Provide assistance to any associate for any special requests such as rush units, VIP's, etc.
- Assist with the cleaning of units as defined by business needs.
- Answer & respond to radio calls in professional and friendly manner throughout the duration of the shift.
- Ensure all closets are clean, stocked and ready for use.
- Maintain and ensure excellent communication line between managers and coworkers.
- Ensure proper usage, labeling and training of chemicals in accordance with OSHA regulations.
- Partner with Security and department managers to follow proper lost and found procedures for items left behind in a guest room.
- Must manage time accordingly in order to complete the required work.
- Ensure proper care of housekeeping equipment.
- Ability to deliver and receive performance feedback in a professional manner.
- Comply with all safety protocol and training, sanitation policies and procedures.
- Perform all other job requests as assigned by management.
- Must have solid planning, time management, decision-making, organization, and interpersonal skills.

- Read Company newsletters, work instructions, and departmental schedules
- Perform basic to intermediate mathematical computations (add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.)
- Protect the Company's value by keeping information confidential
- Perform assigned tasks under minimal supervision
- Follow written and verbal instructions
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with managerial staff, co-workers, guests, and the general public.
- Work well alone or within a team. Collaborative approach with all departments
- Communicate information and suggestions in oral and written form. Prepare written documents and complete reports as required
- Utilize MS Office products at intermediate skill level.
- Exercise reasonable judgment and seek guidance for decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job duties and responsibilities
- Report problems and avoid situations that could be deemed illegal or represent a safety hazard to fellow employees or guests
- Respond to inquiries or complaints from employees, guests, regulatory agencies, and others
- Work overtime and irregular hours
- Continuously strive to update and upgrade job knowledge skills, and capabilities to be able to handle new assignments and responsibilities consistent with company's needs
