Quality Control Inspector IQuality Control Inspector I is responsible for maintaining product quality standards by performing summary inspections, followed by decision making that determines if product standards are adhered to by our suppliers. Responsibilities:Completes & retains basic product trainingCompletes & retains basic systems trainingCompletes & retains basic process trainingPerforms summary inspections of product and records results into QMS as per VC processIs involved and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives driven by managementMaintain a safe working environment and participate in preventative maintenance programs.Perform daily inspections of product.Maintain a clean work area.Perform all other duties as assigned.Required Skills:High School Degree, Diploma or a GED equivalent certificate from a certified institutionMinimum 2 years of experience inspecting productsManufacturing/Distribution environment a mustBasic math, reading, and communication skillsBasic knowledge of using and operating warehouse machinery and equipment (pallet jack, pallet rider, order picker, forklift)Requires squatting, kneeling, bending, and some overhead liftingWorks well in a team environment.Ability to use a computer for data entry and data analysis.Knowledge of quality assurance procedures and methods.Work Environment and Physical Requirements: The Quality Control I role operates in a warehouse setting. This role frequently lifts up to 50 pounds with a team lift and adjusts body positions, including bending, stooping, standing, walking, turning, pivoting, and standing for long periods of time.
