Travel Nursing Job Details Position: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) Location: Charlottesville, VA 22908 Assignment Type: Travel RN / Travel Nursing Job Healthcare Setting: High-volume Labor & Delivery unit Start Date: 09/28/2026 End Date: 01/04/2027 Shift: 12-hour night shifts Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week, with potential for 48-hour scheduling based on unit needs Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800 - $1,890 Orientation: 36 hours Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend; 6-7 weekend shifts per contract Floating: May float to Mother/Baby and NICU feeder/grower care as needed Schedule Style: Self-scheduling Registered Nurse Job Requirements Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience Current Registered Nurse (RN) license ; pending Virginia license accepted if in hand by the required deadline before start BLS certification NRP certification AWHONN Intermediate fetal monitoring certification ACLS certification Epic experience required BSN preferred Ability to provide references and required documentation with submission Strong clinical confidence in high-risk obstetrical care, teamwork, and patient-centered nursing Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities Provide safe, compassionate care to laboring patients, postpartum patients, and newborns Monitor fetal status and recognize changes in maternal or fetal condition Circulate for Cesarean sections and support OB-related procedures Assist with triage, recovery, and high-risk antepartum care Support management of conditions such as preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, preterm labor, and other complex obstetrical diagnoses Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary care teams to promote excellent outcomes Document care accurately in the electronic health record and maintain safe nursing practice standards Adapt to floating assignments within scope, including Mother/Baby and feeder/grower NICU support Participate in unit workflows, patient education, and family-centered care initiatives Why Consider This Virginia Healthcare Job?
