Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,220 - $2,340
• Location: Allentown, PA 18104 - Lehigh Valley area; excellent access to parks, dining, and regional attractions (Allentown healthcare, Pennsylvania nursing jobs)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 4 x 10-hour shifts per week between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM
• On-Call: 24 hours on-call every 6 weeks (may include weekends/holidays)
• Start Date: June 8, 2026
• Employment Type: Local, On-site (Operating Room RN, perioperative nurse)

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
• Minimum 1 year recent Operating Room nursing experience (OR Nurse, perioperative experience required)
• Current BLS certification
• Ability to participate in on-call rotation, including every-other-holiday coverage
• Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical documentation skills
• CNOR certification preferred but not required

Responsibilities - OR Nurse / Perioperative Nurse

• Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate perioperative care to surgical patients in the operating room
• Assist with a variety of surgical specialties including thoracic surgery, pediatric OR/PACU, surgical pathology, and sub-acute cases
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and perioperative staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Prepare and maintain a sterile field, instruments, and necessary supplies for procedures
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to hospital policies, protocols, and quality standards
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond promptly to emergency surgical cases
