Semiconductor Equipment Technician

Trident Consulting is seeking a Semiconductor Equipment Technician for a client in Sunnyvale, CA. A leading organization in workforce operations and analytics. Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (PST) Pay Rate: $27/hr to $29/hr on W2(Inclusive all) Employment Type: Contract (Long-term) Overtime: Possible Overview Client is seeking a Gas & Chemical Technician to support and maintain gas and chemical distribution systems in a semiconductor manufacturing environment. This role involves working across multiple facilities, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operation of critical equipment used in wafer fabrication. Key Responsibilities Support and maintain gas, chemical, and slurry distribution systems across multiple buildings Perform installation, troubleshooting, repair, and decommissioning of gas and chemical equipment Conduct preventative maintenance (PM) and ensure system reliability Execute cylinder and drum change-outs for gas and chemical systems Diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues across various vendor systems Ensure compliance with operating procedures, safety standards, and quality protocols Write, edit, and execute standard operating procedures (SOPs) Support emergency response activities related to gas/chemical systems Collaborate with project teams on new installations and system upgrades Maintain a zero safety and quality incident culture Equipment & Systems Exposure Chemical delivery systems and slurry systems (Fuji systems) Semiconductor wafer fabrication support equipment Required Qualifications Hands-on experience with gas or chemical systems in wafer fabrication (semiconductor environment) Strong knowledge of equipment troubleshooting and maintenance Experience with preventative maintenance and safety procedures Ability to perform cylinder/drum change-outs safely Understanding of emergency response protocols Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills Experience working with semiconductor gas/chemical delivery systems Familiarity with quality management systems and SOP documentation Ability to train or mentor junior technicians Strong communication and teamwork skills Fast-paced semiconductor manufacturing environment Work across multiple buildings/sites Requires adherence to strict safety protocols Hands-on role involving equipment handling and physical tasks Structured On-the-Job Training (OJT) program Defined technician levels (1–5) with fast-track promotion opportunities Long-term career path in a growing semiconductor industry #J-18808-Ljbffr Trident Consulting
