Work Environment\nThis position will be performed remotely, allowing you to work in a flexible environment tailored to your personal productivity needs while collaborating with our clinical team. Your daily contributions will take place in a vibrant and supportive online workspace, where you will communicate with colleagues through virtual meetings and digital collaboration tools.
\nOffice hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some scheduling flexibility to accommodate patient needs. Our team values open communication, and you will have regular access to consultation and collaboration to support your therapeutic strategies.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments that explore patients’ trauma histories to develop informed treatment approaches. \n
- Create and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient, with a focus on trauma recovery and resilience-building. \n
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) as well as Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate patient progress. \n
- Deliver engaging individual and group therapy sessions that empower patients in processing their trauma, developing effective coping strategies, and promoting healing through supportive dialogue. \n
- Collaborate with psychiatrists and other specialists to provide integrated care for complex cases, ensuring comprehensive patient support. \n
- Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, applying your skills to stabilize patients in acute distress. \n
- Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and coping mechanisms, while guiding them toward valuable resources for ongoing support. \n
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. \n
- Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and professional workshops focused on enhancing trauma-informed care practices. \n
- Stay current with the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance treatment efficacy. \n
Your primary focus will be supporting individuals recovering from various forms of trauma. This includes working with diverse populations who may experience PTSD, depression, anxiety, and other mental health challenges resultant from traumatic experiences. You will play a pivotal role in fostering a safe space where clients can explore their feelings, process past events, and work towards personal transformation.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n
- Current and valid licensure as an LCSW-C, LCPC, LMFT, or LCMFT in the state of Maryland. \n
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed practices and familiarity with trauma-related disorders. \n
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, exhibiting a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to patient interactions. \n
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and adeptness in utilizing various computer applications for clinical documentation. \n
- Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations, ensuring effective responses to patient needs. \n

- A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, demonstrating a history of success in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions. \n
- Experience in group therapy settings and providing education to patients and their families is highly valued. \n
