South Shore Veterinary Hospital in Forest Lake, MN is a 9-DVM practice seeking an experienced Veterinary Hospital Manager to help lead our team and support the continued success of our practice.This role is a great opportunity for a people-focused leader who enjoys working alongside a veterinary team, developing employees, and helping create a positive, collaborative hospital environment.As Hospital Manager, you will partner with the Medical Director and leadership team to support the hospital's day-to-day operations while helping foster a culture built on communication, accountability, teamwork, and growth.Key Responsibilities Include:Financial Leadership: Monitor hospital performance, manage budgets, oversee payroll and financial operations, and drive business growth through data-informed decisions.Operational Oversight: Ensure efficient workflow, maintain regulatory compliance (OSHA, DEA, VMB), manage equipment and inventory, and implement hospital policies and procedures.Strategic Direction: Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute long-term goals, expand services, and support referral and business partnerships.Project & Facility Management: Lead day-to-day operations, scheduling, and maintenance while aligning administrative functions with overall hospital objectives.Client & Community Engagement: Oversee marketing strategies, resolve client concerns, enhance client experience, and foster retention and growth.Team Leadership: Manage and support department leads, oversee hiring and development, maintain staffing levels, and promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture.Schedule, Benefits & CompensationCompensation: $90,000-$100,000 annual base salary*Bi-annual bonus opportunities: Based on hospital performanceHiring bonus package: Up to $2000 based on experience and credentialsCE allowance: up to $1,000 based on credentialsRelocation bonus optionsHealth package: Medical, dental, and vision insuranceLife insurance and disabilityEmployee Assistance Program401k options with company match, starting 2027Paid time off in accordance with site policy and applicable lawPersonal pet discountUniform allowanceYour Qualifications:5+ years of leadership, business management, or operations management experience required.Veterinary hospital management experience required - medical, dental, or healthcare practice management experience also considered.Previous veterinary experience (e.g., Veterinary Technician, Veterinary Assistant, or Client Service Representative) preferred.Bachelor's degree, Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM), or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams and departments.Experience managing budgets, staffing, scheduling, and day-to-day operations.Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.Proficient with business software and able to adapt quickly to new systems.Capacity to work autonomously with minimal direct supervision while also collaborating effectively in tandem with the Medical Director and leadership teamAbout South Shore Veterinary HospitalSouth Shore Veterinary Hospital is a well-established 9-DVM practice in Forest Lake, MN, known for high-quality veterinary care and a welcoming, team-focused environment.
