This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in tax compliance, tax accounting, planning initiatives, and process improvement efforts within a complex multi-state business environment. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in corporate taxation, a proactive mindset, and a desire to partner cross-functionally with accounting, finance, and operational teams.Key ResponsibilitieSupport the preparation and review of federal, state, and local income tax filings while ensuring compliance with all applicable deadlinesAssist with the quarterly and annual tax provision process, including supporting schedules, reconciliations, and documentation of tax positionsAnalyze legislative and regulatory tax developments and assess their potential impact on the organization's tax strategy and reporting requirementsConduct technical tax research and prepare clear, concise memoranda supporting conclusions and recommendationsMentor and provide guidance to less experienced tax professionals, reviewing workpapers and promoting best practicesDrive process enhancements by identifying inefficiencies, strengthening internal controls, and implementing solutions that improve accuracy and scalabilityParticipate in special projects, tax planning initiatives, acquisitions, restructuring activities, and other strategic tax matters as needed. xhyhwjd QualificationBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field3+ years of corporate tax experience in public accounting and/or industryStrong knowledge of federal and multi-state tax compliance and tax accounting principlesExperience with ASC 740 tax provision calculationsAdvanced Excel skills and experience with tax software applications Brewer Morris
