CR Jackson is seeking dependable, hardworking individuals to join our asphalt paving crews. As an Asphalt Paving Crew Member , you'll work alongside experienced operators and foremen constructing highways, roads, parking lots, and commercial paving projects throughout South Carolina.

What You'll Do

As an Asphalt Paving Crew Member, you'll assist with all aspects of asphalt paving operations, including:

• Assist paving crew with placement and finishing of hot mix asphalt
• Rake and lute asphalt to achieve proper grade and smoothness
• Shovel, sweep, and clean work areas throughout the paving process
• Set up and remove traffic control devices and work zone signage
• Assist equipment operators and truck drivers during paving operations
• Monitor material flow and help maintain a safe, efficient work zone
• Perform hand work around structures, curbs, inlets, and tight areas
• Load, unload, and maintain tools and equipment
• Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Foreman

What We're Looking For

• Previous asphalt paving or construction experience preferred, but willing to train motivated individuals
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in hot weather conditions
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and night work as required
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Commitment to working safely every day
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record is required
• A CDL is not required, but would be an advantage
