Job Summary:
The Operating Room (OR) Open Heart Surgical Technologist position is based in Palo Alto, California. This role involves assisting in cardiac surgery procedures, preparing and handling surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment, and supporting the surgical team to ensure a safe and sterile environment. The technologist will play a critical role in facilitating smooth operative workflows in a specialized cardiovascular setting.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Completion of a formal, structured program for Surgical Technology; ability to apply sound judgment and make informed decisions; effective communication skills; knowledge of normal/abnormal anatomy and physiology; understanding of basic surgical procedures; adherence to sterile technique principles; proficiency in computer systems relevant to clinical practice; knowledge of hospital policies and safety procedures; accountability for professional growth. Valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification is preferred.
• Specialization: Operating Room Open Heart with experience in cardiac surgery, open heart procedures, thoracic, and vascular interventions.
• Experience: 7 years of experience in cardiac surgery, open heart, thoracic, or vascular surgery required.
• Start Date: August 3, 2026
