Do you have experience as a Laser Cutter Operator? This is the job fo you! A Laser Cutter Operator is responsible for operating the laser cutter machines that do the engraving and cutting of metal or plastic parts. This Laser Cutter Operator is responsible for the safe operation and detailed set up and use of laser cutting machines. You will also be responsible for producing machined components efficiently while maintaining quality requirements per blueprint and customer specifications. Job Duties and Responsibilities of the Laser Cutter Operator include, but is not limited to:- Safe operation and use of laser machinery, tools and other equipment and devices.
- Load the material into the CNC, pull programs from the files, and keep the piece of equipment running smoothly.
- Make machines adjustments, and check dimensions, OD, and length all round piece and straight piece minimum.
- Perform typical laser cutting operations.
- Make proper set-ups for cutting operations.
- Manage the operation of all production equipment in responsible areas with minor trouble-shooting ability to guarantee quality output.
- Utilize the appropriate measurement equipment on the product and report any quality issues to the Production Supervisor.
- Maintain clean and organized work area.
- All other job duties assigned as requested and required.
- Ability to distinguish material types including
- Through understanding or ability to identify a variety of cutting tools.
- Possess a thorough understanding of Machining Principles and Best Practices.
- Basic knowledge of cutting conditions and ability to make proper adjustments when necessary.
- Thorough understanding and the ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawings / Blue Prints.
M-F Day shift - starts at 7:30 am - 4:00 pm, off weekends. Pay $20+ hour based on experience.
