AR/AP Specialist

Hansen Talent Group is seeking a strong AR/AP specialist with a mind for numbers and data to work with a great team in the West Columbia area! This role will offer the opportunity for long-term growth and professional development as well as an amazingly fun team!

The AR/AP specialist will be responsible for managing cash flow, ensuring all payments are processed and invoices are collected accordingly as well as managing account reconciliations and AR/AP reports.


Duties:

• Manage incoming transactions and money movements across accounts. Additionally, generate money requests/invoices for clients to support their account needs.
• Issue payments to clients, matching receiving reports and invoices to the correct accounts.
• Verify daily totals for both AR and AP.
• Document AR/AP journal entries, reconciling ledger to ensure accuracy and GAAP compliance.
• Generate money movement reports, identifying trends, discrepancies, and outstanding items.
• Address discrepancies, researching out-of-balance accounts and outstanding cash. Communicate issues with the account managers and provide solutions for resolution.
• Ensure all reports and ledgers adhere federal, state, and local regulations.

Qualifications:

• preferred: Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Accounting or Business Administration
• hands-on experience in AR/AP
• EXCEL and QuickBooks
