Entry level Lab Associate
Labcorp
Labcorp seeks a Specimen Processor I for its Earth City laboratory facility to prepare and process clinical specimens for testing. This entry-level position involves specimen handling, routing, labeling, data entry, and quality assurance in a fast-paced environment working the evening and rotating Saturday shift.
Responsibilities
- Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
- Unpack, route, and label specimens according to protocol
- Pack and ship specimens to appropriate testing facilities
- Enter patient information accurately in timely manner
- Document and resolve problem specimens; store excess samples properly
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Comfortable handling biological specimens
- Ability to accurately identify and label specimens
- Strong data entry and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
