Description
American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist with ARRT-M/R certification and 1+ years of experience for an outpatient hospital setting.
Details
- Outpatient mammography department with 2 rooms
- Serves adult and geriatric patient population
- Average daily census of approximately 15 patients
- Day shift, 5x8 hours, with rotating start times between 7:30-8:30 AM and end times between 4:00-5:00 PM
- Weekend requirement includes 7:30 AM-11:30 AM on the first Saturday
- May be required to float to an outpatient imaging center for emergency coverage
- No on-call requirement
- Epic charting system used
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience as a Mammography Technologist required
- ARRT-M and ARRT-R certifications required
- BLS certification required
- FDA/MQSA qualification required with current continuing education (15 CEUs in a 36-month period)
- Outpatient mammography, 3D mammography, diagnostic mammogram, and screening mammogram experience required
- Isolation precautions/PPE, radiation safety, universal precautions, and management/lead experience required
- Needle localization and stereotactic biopsy experience preferred
- DEXA experience preferred
- GE, Hologic 3D, and Hologic Affirm BX equipment experience preferred
- Epic charting experience preferred
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Perform diagnostic and screening mammography procedures including 3D mammography, needle localizations, and stereotactic biopsies
- Orientation consists of approximately 24 hours
- Pewter/gray scrub color required
- Up to 2 pre-approved time-off requests permitted per contract
- Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Local candidates accepted with local rate differential
- Candidates must live within 50 miles for local rate differential
