Retail Customer Service Specialist

Purpose at Ashley The Retail Customer Service Specialist is a vital ambassador for Ashley, ensuring exceptional customer service and fostering positive experiences for every customer. As the first point of contact, you will provide crucial administrative support to store operations while assisting with various office tasks. This role is essential in building relationships with customers and ensuring operational excellence that drives our retail success. What You'll Do Front Desk & Customer Service: Greet all customers warmly and professionally, embodying Ashley's brand image. Deliver exceptional customer service through in-person, phone, and email interactions. Sales Order Support: Accurately process sales orders while ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and proper approvals are obtained before finalizing transactions. Customer Account Management: Handle customer credit applications, assist with financing arrangements, and maintain accurate information in retail management systems. Cash Handling & Financial Procedures: Adhere to cash handling protocols and process payments accurately, reconciling transactions as per company policies under the Office Manager's guidance. Customer Issue Resolution: Professionally address customer inquiries and concerns, escalating complex issues to Management as necessary and ensuring follow-up to confirm resolution. Audit & Compliance Assistance: Support Management with operational audits, inventory processes, and compliance checks by gathering required documentation and verifying accuracy. Reporting & Documentation: Keep accurate records, prepare routine reports, and ensure all sales and office paperwork is completed and filed consistently with company standards. Team Collaboration: Work cooperatively with the sales team, merchandising personnel, and other store associates to guarantee a seamless customer experience and efficient store operations. Technology & Systems: Utilize point-of-sale systems, retail management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other business tools efficiently to perform your duties. Complete all other tasks as assigned by management. What You Bring Legally authorized to work in the US. At least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and system transactions. Preferred: 1 year of customer service, office, and/or administrative experience. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays; participate in store opening and closing rotations. Reliability in attendance. A collaborative spirit and enjoyment of teamwork. Paid Time Off. Compensation The hourly rate for this position ranges from $19.00 to $22.00. Benefits Joining our family means you can participate in comprehensive benefits programs including health, dental, vision, life/disability, flexible spending accounts, and 401(k) for eligible team members. Depending on your hire date and specific requirements, you may receive up to 80 hours of paid time off in your first year of employment, including paid sick leave as required by law.
