Registered Nurse - Infusion

Job Description

Job Summary:

Experienced registered nurses are needed to provide infusion therapy in an adult and geriatric oncology and hematology setting. The role involves performing port access, IV placement, and administering chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments.

Responsibilities:

• Administer chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments following established protocols.
• Perform port accessing and IV placements for adult and geriatric patients.
• Document patient care activities accurately in Cerner and IntelliDose systems.
• Monitor patient responses and manage medication side effects related to hematology and oncology treatments.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure safe and effective patient care.
• Adhere to safety procedures and maintain required certifications.

Qualifications:

• Valid MA license required; prior oncology infusion experience preferred.
• Active BLS and Chemo (ONS/ONCC) certifications; OCN certification preferred.
• Proven experience with Cerner and IntelliDose documentation systems preferred.
• Strong understanding of hematology and oncology, non-oncology diagnoses.
• Ability to perform IV placements and port accesses efficiently and safely.
• Excellent communication and patient care skills.
