Location: Aurora, COWhat You Will DoSystem Safety Program Development and ExecutionDevelop and implement MIL-STD-882E compliant system safety programs and perform associated tasks, analyses, and planningConduct hazard and design analyses to ensure compliance with system requirements, customer specifications, and military standardsStakeholder Coordination and ApprovalCollaborate with customer safety representatives to clarify system requirements and ensure proper allocation to software, hardware, and test personnelCoordinate with customer safety representatives and Safety Review Board authorities to gain safety approvalManage System Safety Working Groups with Raytheon and customer representativesCross-Disciplinary CollaborationWork across integrated product teams and engineering disciplines, including Systems Engineering, Software/Firmware, Electrical, and Hardware Engineering, toeliminatehazards or implement effective controlsCollaborate across multiple disciplines to gain a comprehensive understanding of product architecture and designLifecycle Safety OversightSupport safety efforts from program startup through production, demilitarization, and disposal phasesBrief safety considerations and program status during technical reviews and approval processesReporting & DocumentationInterpret system requirements, specifications, and military standards.Prepare internal and customer-facing reports detailing safety analyses and program results.Work within Special Access Program environments asrequiredQualifications You Must HaveTypically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experienceExperience with System Safety Engineering and/or Software Safety EngineeringExperience with complex systems and evaluating them for riskQualifications We PreferExperience developing and implementingMIL-STD-882ESystem Safety Program tasks and analyses, involving management (task series 100), analysis (task series 200), evaluation (task series 300), and verification (task series 400). The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
