- Pre-qualify clients by analyzing income, debt, and credit
- Educate clients on loan options, costs, and payment structures
- Maintain clear communication with borrowers, real estate partners, and lenders
- Provide accurate disclosures and help resolve credit issues
- Active state mortgage license or certification (requirements vary by state)
- Strong knowledge of mortgage loan products and underwriting guidelines (FNMA, FHA, VA, etc.)
- Understanding of industry regulations including RESPA, TILA, and zoning laws
- Excellent communication and financial analysis skills
- Self-motivated, sales-oriented mindset
