Seeking an experienced Travel RN for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at a hospital setting. The role involves rotating shifts including days, weekends, and call coverage, with a focus on pediatric and adult patient recovery. Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional post-operative care for pediatric and adult patients following various procedures, from lumpectomies to open-heart surgeries.
- Monitor patient recovery using GE patient monitors, Stryker, and Hillrom beds, ensuring safety and stability.
- Respond promptly to calls, arriving within 30 minutes and prepared to accept new patients in the PACU.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to prioritize patient care and ensure smooth unit operations.
- Adhere to hospital policies, including scrubbing in professional attire and complying with call and on-call schedules.
- Maintain certification requirements, including ACLS, BLS, and PALS, and update documentation regularly.
- Hold a current NH RN license upon submission.
- Minimum of 2 years' hospital experience in PACU or similar acute care settings.
- Demonstrate proficiency in PACU pediatrics and adult care, with preferred ICU or ER background.
- Possess current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
- Exhibit a flexible, compassionate, patient-focused attitude and team-oriented mindset.
