About the Role:
Anchor Point Early Learning Academy in East Greenwich, RI is looking for a passionate and nurturing Infant Teacher to join our growing team! This is a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful impact during the most critical stage of a child's development. If you love caring for little ones and creating a safe, loving learning environment, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive, loving daily care for infants, including feeding, diapering, and soothing
- Implement age-appropriate sensory and developmental activities for infants
- Monitor and document each infant's developmental milestones and daily progress
- Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating classroom environment
- Communicate openly and regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child's day and development
- Follow all health, safety, and licensing regulations in accordance with Rhode Island childcare standards
- Collaborate with lead teachers and staff to support a consistent, nurturing curriculum
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with infants in a licensed childcare or early learning setting preferred
- Knowledge of infant development, best practices, and age-appropriate activities
- CDA credential, Early Childhood Education coursework, or equivalent experience a plus
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass a background check in compliance with Rhode Island childcare regulations
- Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor with a genuine passion for infant care
- Strong communication skills and ability to build trust with families
