Coupling Assembler - 2nd Shift

Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Coupling Assembler - 2nd Shift to join our team in Beltsville, MD! The core hours are 3 pm - 11 pm. The hourly rate for this position is $19.50 per hour + 10% shift premium. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you’ll do: Perform minor set‑ups and operate multiple machines, to execute a sequence of operations such as turn, drill, and bore a variety of metal components. Conduct the following operations: reaming, inserting hammer drive screws, peening operation and assembling hardware. Set up and operate bulge rivet machine to assemble retainers. Conduct ATP testing to requirements. Utilizes QC Info software to view test specifications, set‑up test fixture and perform ATP testing. Perform channel coating on parts to requirements as called out on the routers. Set‑up and operate laser marker, understand customer requirements as called out on PMI sheets and perform hand marking operations. Read and sign off on production routers and record material types, lot numbers and quantity required. Identify, locate, and kit hardware necessary to assemble retainers. Receive components into stock, generate and release assembly work orders, and understand sales order requirements. Interpret technical drawings in accordance with standard shop practices. Work in accordance with general safety rules and practices. Train new and temporary employees on processes. Participate in continuous improvement of processes. Required (Basic) Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED equivalent from accredited institution. Preferred Qualifications: 1+ year of assembly experience. 2+ years of manufacturing experience. Skills: Must be able to read, write and speak to effectively communicate with teammates and customers. Must be able to use the computer. Ability to read and comprehend specifications, engineering drawings, and manufacturing routings. Position requires exposure to oil, dirt, and heat. Must be able to wear safety glasses, ear plugs and steel toed shoes for entire shift. Ability to stand, sit, move 8-12 hours a day with or without reasonable accommodations. Must be able to lift up to 35lbs on a regular basis with or without reasonable accommodations.
