Associate Director, Global Oncology Insights and Engagement

Merck seeks an Associate Director to lead oncology insights and engagement within its Digital Human Health marketing team. The role involves developing data-driven strategies, orchestrating cross-functional analytics delivery, and translating complex market research into actionable business recommendations to inform pipeline development and commercial decisions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary strategic partner to Global Oncology Marketing, translating business needs into structured analytical plans
• Develop and execute commercial insight strategy leveraging AI and advanced analytics across disparate data sources
• Quarterback end-to-end delivery of digital human health and IT capabilities across insights, analytics, and technology teams
• Lead and mentor specialists and senior specialists (onshore and offshore) on analytics best practices and data visualization
• Identify and advance next-generation analytics and AI applications to enhance pipeline and launch strategy development

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in data analysis, marketing, economics, statistics, computer science, public health, or related field
• 5+ years in marketing analytics, data insights, strategic planning, or related roles in pharma, biotech, consulting, or healthcare
• Expertise mining patient claims and EMR data to generate actionable commercial insights
• Advanced analytical skills including predictive analytics, secondary data analysis, and forecasting
• Strategic thinking with ability to synthesize primary and secondary data sources
• Self-motivated, proactive learner comfortable with ambiguity and independent problem-solving
