HIS Tech II

Maimonides Health, Brooklyn's largest healthcare system, is seeking a HIS Tech II for the Health Information Services department. This is a full-time, permanent position with a schedule of Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-4:00PM, totaling 35 hours per week.

Responsibilities include working in the Medical Records Department, which involves frequent prolonged standing/walking, considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching. Employees must be able to move and lift heavy files. Tasks include filing incomplete records/forms into the file and assisting physicians with the completion of their records as needed.

Qualifications include an associate's degree and 6 months to 1 year of experience in the Medical Records Department. Good oral and written communication skills, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to pass a basic data entry skills test are required. English language proficiency is necessary to the extent required by the position.
