Join us to help champion awakenings through food, kindness, and gratitude.We are looking for a Shift Manager for our Avalon Location.Job SummaryAs a Shift Manager of gusto!, you, your team, and fellow leaders will run a vibrant and busy healthy fast-food restaurant. You will help oversee various aspects (including customer service, inventory, food safety, catering, and team member development) of the operation based on your strengths and the business' needs.The Shift Manager ensures that all aspects of shift operation including training, food preparation, food safety, cleanliness, sanitation, opening and closing duties, uniforms, and team member attendance meet or exceed company standards and specifications. As a member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for the general oversight of daily operations and team leadership. This role includes staff management, shop security, team building, and ensuring a premium guest experience in a high-energy dining environment and Catering execution.Responsibilities:Accountable for performing tasks related to all revenue streams including cashier, credit card terminals, and third party meal delivery partners (DoorDash, Uber Eats, etc.)Third-party delivery system knowledge and operationAssist in managing and operations of the entire business, including Service, Production, Catering, and other related areasEnsure store is open or closed according to company standards and proceduresDelegate tasks to Team Members to ensure a clean and inviting workplace including stocking supplies, maintaining clean restrooms, dining room furnishings, floors, windows, doors, and plantsOversee food preparation activities, ensuring that all menu items are prepared according to recipesOversee daily prep list creationAccountable for the performance of all staff when the active manager is not on dutyDirect team members through daily routines and interact with guests to ensure a premium guest experienceCreate a positive work environmentBe a good steward of all company propertyUphold all brand standardsFoster a positive and collaborative work environment, motivating and inspiring staff to excel in their roles and contribute to the overall success of the shopAct as a Brand Ambassador for the company at all times.Maintain ServSafe CertificationAdhere to uniform and personal hygiene standards including wearing non-slip shoes and cutting glovesTrain company policies and procedures to new Team MembersHelp develop and train fellow teammatesOversee the training and development of team members, ensuring they follow processes and policiesMonitor and supervise timely arrival or departure of scheduled Team MembersSupport the manager in the daily operation of the shopEnsure all catering requirements submitted by the Sales team are communicated and executedEnsure timely delivery of all catering ordersMaintain friendly and professional interactions with catering guestsOversee the shop's catering schedule, including deliveriesManage catering inventory and order supplies as neededMaintain catering equipment and keeping the catering van clean and stockedEnforce all food and physical safety policies and requirementsParticipate in monthly P&L reviews with Shop leadership, identifying areas for improvement and new opportunitiesAssist in managing Labor Expense and COGSEnsure ALL operational safety, food safety, and food quality requirements/ standards are met every hour of every dayResponsible for ordering Fresh pointResponsible for ordering SyscoReporting accurate Inventory weeklyBe available for all shifts including opening/closing and weekends as neededBe comfortable standing for the entire shift and occasionally lifting items no heavier than 53 lbsOther assigned shop dutiesQualifications & Experience:Experience in a customer-centric role, with a focus on providing exceptional service1+ years experience in a Shift Leader/Supervisor or Manager role, preferably in the food service industry or a food-related industryExcellent people skillsConsistent reliability and punctualityAbility to handle challenges resourcefully and efficientlyAbility to use electronic systems, such as computers and tabletsWillingness to work flexible hours, including weekendsStrong communication skills, capable of coordinating between various teamsA desire for continuous learning and professional developmentAbility to multitaskAble to work well in a team environmentMust be at least 18 years oldMust have a reliable means of transportationDriving Requirement: All team members operating vehicles for business purposes must successfully pass MVR checks and complete required defensive driving online training courses as a condition of employment.Benefits:Pay rate: $15-17 + TipsTip sharingAccess to wages before paydayFlexible schedulingDetailed and intentional trainingTeam Member food perksFantastic Teammates!
