Overview Registered Nurse, Med Surg | Travel assignment | Lincoln, Maine, United States Start date: 07/27/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Weekly pay: $1,934 – $2,026 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (7:00 am–7:00 pm) Setting: hospital-based medical-surgical unit Key Highlights Weekly pay range: $1,934–$2,026 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts Start date: 07/27/2026 Travel assignment with on-site patient care responsibilities Responsibilities Perform initial and ongoing age-appropriate nursing assessments for diverse adult and geriatric patients on the Med Surg unit. Develop, implement, and revise patient care plans based on physician orders, patient needs, and progress; monitor outcomes and adjust as needed. Administer medications accurately using the five rights, document administration, monitor patient response, and report adverse reactions. Collaborate with the health care team (physicians, case managers, and other staff) to coordinate care, participate in rounds, and support discharge planning. Document patient care activities in accordance with hospital policies and procedures; provide patient and family education to support understanding of plans and follow-up. Maintain a safe, clean environment, ensure availability and safety of supplies and equipment, and follow infection control and safety protocols. Requirements Licensure: Current RN license in Maine or in a state with compact multi-state license recognition. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS preferred. Immunizations: Varicella (2 doses or titer) or compliant status; Hepatitis B (3 doses or titer) or declination (declination accepted only for HepB); MMR (2 doses or titer); Tdap; PPD (2-step or titer) within past 12 months; Flu vaccine during flu season. Education: BSN preferred; active RN with current licensure and ability to practice in the listed setting. Experience: Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to problem solve; effective verbal and written communication; basic knowledge of nursing care across age groups. Additional: Ability to stand/walk for extended periods, lift up to 30 lbs, and work in a setting with exposure to infectious diseases; on onboarding, provider will complete HR onboarding and necessary credentialing, W-9 and COI for workers’ compensation and liability.
