IT Systems Engineer

The IT Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and integrating complex systems at every stage of their lifecycle. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation with an eye toward accessibility, optimization, and security, within the infrastructure. To be successful in this position, the ideal candidate should be a highly motivated, results-driven individual who thrives in a cross-team collaborative environment. This position sits onsite at our office in El Segundo, CA.

Position Responsibilities:

• Install and configure operating systems, software, and hardware components, and clearly document the design, maintenance, and support procedures for routine tasks to leverage IT support staff
• Use expert-level configuration, administration and optimization of hosts and servers to ensure high availability of infrastructure and systems
• Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
• Research and recommend innovative, and where possible, automated approaches for system engineering tasks

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Four (4) years of system engineering experience
• This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Security Clearance Post-Start is required
• Linux and Windows architect experience
• Virtualization expertise experience specifically with vSphere
• CompTIA Security+ Certificate

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Azure and Office 365 Tenant administration
• Storage Services and Platforms (e.g. Dell PowerStore, PowerVault)
• Bachelor's degree from an accepted and accredited college or university with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science or equivalent work experience
• Operating system administration (e.g. RHEL, Windows Server)
• Configuration and administration of endpoint solutions (e.g. SCCM, Intune, SolarWinds, ServiceNow)
• Azure/O365 Online App experience (e.g SharePoint, PowerBi, PowerAutomate)
• Domain management expertise (e.g. AD, SSO, PKI, GPO, DHCP)
• Automation and Scripting experience (e.g Powershell, Python, Ansible)
• Containerization experience (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
• Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator
• Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate
• VMware Certified Professional or VMware Certified Advanced Professional

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: Level 4: $129,200 - $190,000

Millennium is DDTC-registered, ITAR-compliant Company. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Applicants MUST be U.S. citizens and eligible for a security clearance.
