Job Description Bell Properties, Inc. is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Compliance Specialist to join our team. The Compliance Specialist will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our operations comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and oversee compliance programs and initiatives to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies. Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential compliance issues and develop corrective action plans as needed. Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting property management and ensure timely compliance. Provide guidance and training to staff on compliance matters, promoting a culture of compliance and ethical conduct. Collaborate with various departments including leasing, maintenance, accounting, and legal to integrate compliance requirements into daily operations. Serve as the primary point of contact for compliance-related inquiries and issues, both internally and externally. Prepare and submit regulatory reports and filings accurately and on time. Monitor and analyze compliance metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions. Conduct investigations of compliance concerns and violations and recommend disciplinary action or process improvements as necessary. Maintain documentation and records related to compliance activities and initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate Management, or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience. CPM or similar certification preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or related field, preferably in property management. Experience managing 6 low-income projects with at least 10 units each, each managed for at least 3 years, with 2 of those projects being active CTCAC deals. Strong knowledge of Fair Housing laws, LEP guidelines, and other relevant regulations. Proven ability to interpret and apply complex regulations and requirements. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels. Proficiency in property management software and tools; experience with Yardi or similar platforms preferred.
