Dump Truck Driver

Dump Truck DriverWe are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dump Truck Driver in the Tucson area to join our team. Candidate must have experience in operating a Super 16.Duties / ResponsibilitiesSafely operate a dump truck in a manner that reduces risk and liabilities.Ensure load weight is in compliance with State and Federal regulations.Perform and properly document pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer to ensure they are in a safe and legal condition.Maintain accurate records of trip details, including mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance reports and hours worked.Communicate effectively with project managers, equipment operators, and other team members to coordinate material transport and delivery schedules in a direct and friendly manner.Always adhere to Achen-Gardner Construction's safety policies and procedures.Perform basic maintenance on the truck when necessary.Accurately navigate a dump truck using instructions, maps or GPS, to a wide variety of locations both on road and off.Properly wear and safely use PPE.Perform all other related duties as assigned.Qualifications, Knowledge, and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent.Valid Arizona Class B or A CDL in good standingValid DOT Medical Certification.Minimum of 3 years of experience operating dump trucks preferred.Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and best practices for materials.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.Basic mechanical skills for minor truck maintenance.Willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with a high degree of accuracy.Ability to read, understand and navigate using paper and/or digital maps.Ability to read and write the English language.Ability to sit for long periods of time.Possible excessive hours during short durations.May include some weekend and evening work, depending on current projects.Working outdoors in AZ climateWe offer an excellent work environment including competitive wages subsidized health insurance, paid time off, paid sick leave, paid holidays, 401k plan, Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) and voluntary dental and supplemental benefits.
