Echocardiography Specialist Opportunity

Advance your skills in a leading cardiac center, performing high-level echocardiography with a focus on critically ill patients. This contract position seeks two experienced imaging specialists with expertise in Adult Echo and critical valvular disease management, particularly for patients receiving TAVR devices.

Schedule:

• Part-time, Tues-Sat, 10:30 am6:30 pm
• 4 days per week, 9.5 hours per day

Required Qualifications:

• Active experience scanning severe to critical aortic stenosis patients scheduled for TAVRMUST be detailed in your application to be considered.
• Registered Cardiac Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association).
• Documented completion of at least 200 inpatient echocardiography cases by institutional referral.
• High school diploma or GED (completion of a CAAHEP or ABHES Cardiovascular Technology Program preferred).
• Proficiency in valvular assessment, including spectral Doppler and Pedoff.
• Experience with contrast echocardiography and agitated saline studies.
• Ability to quickly recognize abnormalities and respond to critical findings.
• Strong independent work skills and familiarity with complex cardiac patient populations.

Preferred Experience:

• TEE and Stress Echo procedures.
• 3D echo imaging and advanced protocol familiarity (TAVR, Mitral Clip, VAD, etc.).
• Maintaining ICAEL-accreditation standards.
• Experience with Philips ie33/Epiq and Epic systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and position patients, providing clear explanations for procedures.
• Perform comprehensive ultrasound exams with a focus on pre-TAVR assessments.
• Review prior studies and patient charts to ensure study completeness.
• Notify readers of critical findings promptly.
• Maintain accurate documentation, records, and inventory.
• Support high operational and safety standards.

$2,148 - $2,310/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 38 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
