Commercial HVAC Service Technician

Job Title

Responsibilities

1. Diagnose, service, and repair commercial HVAC systems, including RTUs, VRF/VRV systems, ductless mini-splits, split systems, heat pumps, and gas/electric units
2. Perform preventative maintenance and detailed system inspections
3. Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and control-related issues
4. Work on inverter-driven and multi-zone systems, including manufacturer-specific VRF diagnostics
5. Communicate system conditions, repair recommendations, and solutions clearly to customers and internal teams
6. Complete service documentation, job notes, and time tracking accurately and timely
7. Follow all company safety standards and procedures
8. Participate in on-call rotation as required

Qualifications

1. Minimum three years of commercial HVAC service experience
2. EPA Universal Certification required
3. Strong electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration troubleshooting skills
4. Proven experience with VRF and ductless mini-split systems preferred
5. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
6. Ability to work independently and manage service calls efficiently
7. Strong customer service and communication skills

Preferred (Not Required)

1. Journeyman or Master HVAC license
2. Manufacturer certifications (Daikin, Mitsubishi, LG, Samsung, etc.)
3. Sales or lead-generation experience
