The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) invites applications for the Executive Director of Facilities Management. Role and Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership of diverse facilities operational units at UNLV. Lead and manage a team overseeing Energy, Sustainability & Compliance, Custodial Services, Landscape & Grounds, Project Management, and skilled maintenance trades. Develop long‑term strategic initiatives such as capital planning, deferred maintenance reduction, and sustainability goals. Align FM department strategy with university financial planning and capital cycles. Foster a culture of accountability, cost containment, and continuous improvement. Communicate progress to Associate Vice President for Facilities Management and peers. Advocate for departmental needs, staffing models, and funding gaps to executive leadership. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management Sciences or related field. 5–7 years of management experience in facilities management or related fields. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in management, business administration, engineering, architecture, or related field. Facilities management leadership experience at one or more academic higher educational institutions. Experience in healthcare, biotechnology, or research institutions, and/or academic health center settings. Salary and Benefits Salary range: $150,000.00 to $180,000.00, or commensurate with the labor market.
