Position Summary Thomas More University seeks an innovative and collaborative University Registrar to lead the transformation of academic records, systems, and services in support of student success. Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Institutional Effectiveness, the University Registrar will serve as a data steward and leader to advance technology-enabled solutions, strengthen academic operations, and improve the student experience from enrollment through graduation. Required Skills Data and Technology Management –leverage technology, information systems, and data practices to ensure accurate records and optimize business practices Policy and Compliance – interpret and consistently apply academic policies, regulatory requirements, and University standards while ensuring accuracy and integrity Collaboration and Relationship Management – build trusted relationship across campus, communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, and foster collaboration that advances University goals and improves the student experience Talent Development – develop high-performing team, cultivate a culture of accountability, and deliver exceptional, student-centered service Communication – communicate clearly, accurately, and effectively with diverse audiences, translating complex policies, processes, and technical information into understandable guidance Preferred Skills Strategic Leadership – develop and execute long-term strategies that align registrar functions with institutional priorities and lead continuous improvement through innovation and change management Organization and Project Management – manage multiple projects, deadlines, and operational responsibilities simultaneously through effective planning, organization, resource coordination, and execution Systems and Process Thinking – understand how people, processes, technology, and data interact across the University; identify opportunities for improvement; and design efficient and student-centered workflows Job-Related Activities Interpret, implement, and ensure compliance with academic policies, FERPA, and University standards while maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of academic records Provide leadership for academic catalog and curriculum implementation, ensuring curricular changes are reflected accurately in systems, student-facing resources, and documentation Administer academic records and registration services, including course scheduling, registration, grading, transcript production, athletic eligibility, and graduation audits Build collaborative partnerships with Academic Affairs, Admissions, faculty, advisors, and other campus departments to support student success, academic planning, and institutional effectiveness Lead, develop, and mentor Registrar staff by coordinating and evaluating activities, identifying areas of improvement, and maximizing performance and contribution Represent the University on various committees, contributing expertise to academic planning, policy development, and continuous improvement Lead the digital transformation of registrar operations, emphasizing a student-first mindset, and leverage technology to reduce friction, improve transparency, and create seamless user experience Serve as the functional lead for the student information system (Jenzabar), leading continuous improvement to ensure optimal configuration, data integrity, and system reliability Act as the institutional data steward for student and academic data to ensure data accuracy, integrity, security, accessibility, and appropriate use across the University Provide accessible, responsive, and student-centered service by engaging directly with students, faculty, and staff regarding registration, academic records, degree progress, graduation requirements, and other related data Training Provided Higher education strategic planning and institutional effectiveness Data governance principles and practices FERPA and responsible data use Process mapping and workflow design Student Information System administration and related technologies Job Requirements Graduate degree in higher education, administration, or related field Salary and Benefits Annual salary - $72,000 - $78,000 Tuition remission and educational opportunities support lifelong learning for employees and dependents Health and retirement benefits upon hire, with retirement contributions beginning after one year of service #J-18808-Ljbffr
