Transportation Inspector

The Transportation Inspector monitors and inspects transportation services including operators, vehicles, and facilities within assigned territory of transportation system. Aids as a liaison between passengers and PDRTA when necessary for community outreach and feedback. Experience as a bus operator, dispatcher, or related field preferred. Must receive a negative result from a DOT pre-employment drug screen, pass a DOT pre-employment physical and criminal background check. SC Commercial Driver’s License Class B with Passenger Endorsement required. In-house CDL training and testing available. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); One to three years related experience and/or training; One year management experience preferred; Corresponding years of experience may be considered as a substitute for the level of education desired.
