This position will create shipping lists, logs, as well as schedule and track pickup, make sure that outgoing shipments are packed correctly to prevent damage or breakage in transit, and shipped to customer specifications.Job Requirements:Responsible for verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments.Create shipping lists and schedule truck pickups via UPS, FedEx, and Common Carrier.Complete shipping logs daily and verify delivered items against the packing slip.Receive and confirm inbound shipments to APP, Inc.Prepare documentation for international export shipments.Assist with annual vendor NAFTA solicitation process.Prepare free-trade agreements for customers.Data entry duties include order processing, generating packing lists, invoices, and shipping documents.Regular correspondence by telephone and email to internal personnel, customers and vendors.Distribute receiving documents to accounting and purchasing.Locate inventory items in stockroom and deliver non-inventory items.Operate fork truck.Print pick tickets and pick inventory efficiently to maintain on-time shipments.Cycle count and reconcile inventory discrepancies.Quarantine defective parts and work with Quality/Production to repair or scrap parts.Maintain customer bar coding requirements.Answer customer inquiries.Skill Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalent.6 months – 1 year experience with order entry, shipping, warehousing procedures, and shipping parts for aerospace, aviation, or automotive industriesInternational shipping experience highly desired.Forklift certificate.Forging manufacturing experience highly desired.Working knowledge of UPS, FedEx, and other common carriers and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.Knowledge of BOLs and shipping carriers (i.e. freight brokers, FedEx, UPS, etc.).Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet.Why work for APP?Medical, Dental, Vision – Generous company contribution, low cost to employeeLife insurance – 100% company paid - covers employee, spouse and dependent childrenGenerous Vacation Time9 Paid HolidaysHoliday Shut Down (Christmas thru New Year's)Sick TimeAnnual Bonus (based on company meeting Key Results)401k (Company matches up to 4%)ESOP Employee Profit Sharing Retirement Plan (100% Company Paid)Tuition reimbursementCompensation: $20.00 - $23.73 an hour.
