Responsibilities
- Implement components of patient care under the supervision of the physical therapist.
- Obtain data related to treatments provided and collaborate with the PT to modify care as necessary.
- Assist in the treatment of individuals of all ages, from newborns to end of life, as directed by the PT.
- Help patients stretch and exercise specific muscle groups; teach balance training techniques.
- Move patients from wheelchairs or walkers to the therapy area; keep the therapy environment clean and organized.
- Complete administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and maintaining paperwork; communicate with families to identify at-home techniques.

Requirements
- Active Physical Therapist Assistant license in Missouri
- BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience (required), LTC or rehab setting experience preferred
- Ability to read and follow instructions from the Physical Therapist and participate in plan-of-care updates
- Eligibility to work in the United States and ability to function in a long-term care/rehabilitation setting
