Job Description
Registered Nurse - Medical-Surgical

Schedule:
- Straight Nights: 7 PM - 7:30 AM
- Every Other Weekend (EOW) and Holiday
- On-Call per Unit Needs

Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: Not guaranteed, with potential low-census for up to 12 hours per 2-week pay period

Requirements:
- Valid state Nursing License
- BLS Certification through American Heart Association
- Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg experience required
- Minimum 1 year of travel experience required
- High acuity unit, mentor/charge experience required

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and psychological health and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately and monitor patients' responses.
- Document patient assessments and interventions in accordance with healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver holistic patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on managing conditions and preparing for discharge.
- Recognize and respond to emergencies and provide immediate care as needed.

Compliance / Notes:
- On-call RN must be able to arrive within 1 hour if called in.
- Potential exposure to infectious diseases requires adherence to safety protocols and use of PPE.
