Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – NICU

Location

San Bernardino, CA | NICU – Level III

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shifts | 12-Hour Shifts (0645–1915 / 1845–0715) | Every Other Weekend Required | Expected to work into holiday rotation

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 20-bed Level III NICU at nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2
• Care for patients with congenital abnormalities, feeders/growers, and ventilator-dependent neonates (no ECMO patients)
• Titrate drips and manage IV access; no IV Team on unit — nurse is responsible
• Read and interpret cardiac monitor strips accurately
• Collaborate with on-unit Respiratory Therapy (24/7) who typically manages ventilators, and coordinate with in-house Neonatology (24/7) and Pharmacy (24/7)
• May serve in a Charge Nurse capacity; charge nurses do not typically take a patient assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid for practice in California
• BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience at a Level III or higher facility
• Ability to read and interpret cardiac monitor strips

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner EMR
• Familiarity with drip titration in a neonatal setting
• Experience caring for ventilator-dependent neonates
