Job Title

General job duties. Types of procedures required. Management of 1-3 critically ill patients, management of varying patient populations including critically ill neuro, cardiac, CT surgery, trauma, medical, and surgical patients. Ability to manage vasopressors, sedatives, analgesics, inotropics, antiarrhythmics, and other titratable drips. Ability to assist with bedside procedures including RSI, EVD placement, Tracheostomy, line placement, other diagnostic tests. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept.

Required skills and minimum years of experience.

• 2 years of experience in large hospital (over 200 beds), level 1 trauma. Ability to care for critical ill patients independently.
• Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required.
• BLS - must be AHA, ACLS - must be AHA, NIHSS, ND or compact state RN License

Shift or schedule requirements. Will be required to float to all units in critical care cluster on both campuses, including 5AB (intermediate ICU) with ratios up to 1:4. May float to MS if needed to task or take patient assignment of up to 3. Day/Night Rotate-8 and 12 hour shifts, occasional 4 hour shifts. Every other Weekend Every other Holiday No call required.
