LOGISTICS SPECIALIST

We are looking for a driven, relationship-focused Logistics Specialist to join our team.

We are an approved Transportation Service Provider (TSP) for the U.S. Department of

Defense, providing transportation services. Our success depends on people who

can build strong customer relationships, win freight through competitive bidding, secure the right

carrier capacity, and manage each shipment through successful delivery.

As a Logistics Specialist, you own the process from bid to delivery.

You'll build relationships with our customers, identify opportunities, prepare and submit bids,

negotiate pricing, secure carriers, coordinate transportation, solve problems, and make sure the

customer receives the level of service that keeps us their provider of choice.

This is a fast-paced position for someone who enjoys sales, negotiation, relationship building,

problem-solving, and WINNING!!

Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned DOD accounts and points of

contact.

Identify opportunities and stay engaged with customers through consistent phone and

email communication.

Prepare and submit competitive bids while maintaining acceptable profit margins.

Follow up aggressively and professionally on submitted bids.

Maintain current pricing and account strategies to maximize revenue and profitability.

Source and secure qualified carriers for awarded shipments.

Negotiate carrier rates while protecting company margins.

Coordinate pickup, transportation, and delivery details.

Take ownership of awarded shipments from booking through successful delivery.

Monitor shipments and proactively address issues before they become customer

problems.

Communicate effectively with customers, carriers, and internal team members.

Handle unexpected challenges quickly and professionally.

Maintain accurate shipment, pricing, and account information.

Keep the Director of Operations informed of important account information,

opportunities, pricing, and challenges.

Deliver an exceptional customer experience that leads to repeat business.

LOGISTICS EXPERIENCE IS A PLUS — NOT A REQUIREMENT

There are no specific educational or experience requirements for this position.

Experience in freight brokerage, transportation, logistics, sales, account management,

customer service, or business administration can help you succeed more quickly.

But if you have a GREAT ATTITUDE, GREAT EFFORT, and GREAT EXECUTION, we can teach you the rest!!

THIS IS NOT A DESK JOB

You won't simply be entering orders or waiting for freight to come across your desk.

You'll be winning business, negotiating rates, booking trucks, managing shipments, solving

problems, and building relationships that directly impact the company's success.

You will have a direct role in generating revenue, protecting profitability, and delivering the level

of service our DOD customers expect.
