RN - Behavioral Health

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our psychiatric unit, providing high-quality care to patients aged 12 to 18 and adults. The role requires strong assessment skills, therapeutic communication, and the ability to manage medication effectively. Responsibilities Assess patients' mental health status, recognizing signs of psychiatric disorders and behavioral problems. Develop individualized care plans tailored to patients' needs. Administer psychiatric medications and monitor for side effects. Provide crisis intervention, including de-escalation techniques and medication management. Utilize therapeutic communication to build trust and rapport with patients. Monitor patients for physical and psychological symptoms, including vital signs and medication effects. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Current RN license and certifications in BLS and CPI. Proven ability to assess and manage patients in a psychiatric setting. Knowledge of psychotropic medications and crisis intervention techniques.
