Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/14/2026 Duration: 12 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Title: RN - ED Location: Concord North Carolina 28025 Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12hr Night Shift - 36 Shift Information: 7p - 7a Clinical Interviewing- Yes On Call, Call Back Requirements: None Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend Holiday Requirements: Travelers will work 75% of holidays Floating Requirements: Region 1 - Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main Mercy LCH (peds only) could float to any of the facilities within region if the need arises About Facility: 457 licensed beds Trauma Level III Teaching Hospital Chest Pain Center Stroke Center of Excellence Bariatric Center of Excellence Radius rule: Traveler s permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit Unit Information: Minimum Years of Experience required: ED RN: 2 years ED exp (Resource Team) Will you accept a first-time traveler: Not preferred but will consider (Resource Team) Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: Trauma level 3 – GSW, Stabbing, MVA, Falls, Stroke, Heart Failure, Chest pain, patient requiring fluid resuscitation/blood products, COPD, Cardiac Cath pre, ETOH/CIWA, IVDA, mental health, Respiratory illnesses, GI Disorders and infections, Liver Failure, AKI/CKD Patient Ratios: RN: 1:5 max (acuity dependent) Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance: ED RN: Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI; Preferred: TNCC Skills required: ED RN: Trauma experience, Stroke experience, cardiac rhythm interpretation, conscious sedation, PIV starts, chest tube management, NGT placement, drain/tube management, critical care drips, blood administration, etc. Support within the Department: CNA – ratios vary Receptionist/HUC Charge nurse, 24/7 – may or may not have patients IV/VAT Team RT, 24/7 Hospitalist, 24/7 ED Physicians Technology/Equipment: EMR: EPIC IV Pump: Alaris Med dispensing: Omnicell Monitors: Phillips Floating: Will be required to float per region needs – will require floating to all facilities listed below, as needed, within scope of practice – DECLINE if not agreeable Region 1 - Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, any Freestanding ED within Region, Lake Norman, Central Division (CMC Main Mercy LCH) If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock) Orientation (facility and unit): NEO 2 days departmental Scheduling: Weekend rotation: every other No call for travelers Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays – must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours Other notes: Scrub Color: Navy Parking: Free ERRN1 Talent Burst Job ID 26-27211.
