ServerThe Server is part of the Culinary Team and provides exceptional dining experiences for our residents by delivering courteous and efficient service.Key ResponsibilitiesThe Server is responsible for:Taking resident(s) meal orders and serving meals correctly and efficientlyProviding exceptional customer service while engaging with coworkers and residentsBringing a heightened awareness for food allergies and preferences, ensuring each resident receives meals as neededDelivering meals, food and drinks to residents and their guests with efficiency and professionalismCleaning and resetting areas of the community, within dining areas, food service areas, and within residents' roomsEngaging with residents and others in the community with charm, professionalism, respect, and a bright personalityMaintaining a working knowledge of all menu items, preparation, time, ingredients and method of presentationRelaying messaging from residents to the kitchen about dining needs, food preferences and orders, and special requestsUsing technology, such as a Point of Sale, to provide clear communication between residents and the kitchenResponsibilities include customer service, food service and communicationPosition Requirements / Qualifications:Must be a minimum of sixteen (16) years of ageMust possess, at a minimum, a 10th grade education, have completed a similar educational level or have sufficient work experience to meet the position's requirements1-year experience as a server/waiter, or in a similar food service environmentWorking knowledge of health and safety policies and proceduresFreedom from illegal use of drugsFreedom from use and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplacePersons who have been found guilty by a court of law of abusing, neglecting, or mistreating individuals in a health care related setting are ineligible for employment in the positionDemonstrates effective time management skillsLocation InformationThe Villa at Riverwood is a beautiful community in Florissant, MO, with more than 110 units offering independent living.Job TypeFull-TimeJob CategoryDietaryWork ShiftDaytimeAuto req ID147514BR
